Night wind tore open a Station District perimeter
We got the call late on a windy evening when a new build near the Station District had a section of temp fence folded back onto a sidewalk edge. The steel panels rattled hard, and dust kept blowing through the opening toward nearby foot traffic. Rajesh knew the site couldn’t sit exposed overnight, especially with equipment staged inside and neighbors moving past on the way home. We were dealing with safety, theft risk, and a messy edge in a busy part of Union City.
We rolled out with panel sections, clamps, sandbags, and our own post driver, then reset the line and tied everything down tighter than before. Our crew checked the gate swing, straightened the run, and added stabilization where the wind had caught the corner. We do this because a fence only works if it stays put after the first hit. By the time we packed up, the perimeter looked clean again, and the contractor could leave the site with the opening closed and the street protected.
We were exposed for a minute, and Alameda Creek Fence Rental got it closed back up fast.
